Malala Yousafzai

What would you do if a a Taliban assassin came calling again?
"I'll tell him how important education is, and that I even want education for your children as well," she said Tuesday. And I would tell him, 'that's what I want to tell you, now do what you want.'"

Malala Yousafzai was 15 years old when she was shot in the head and neck by a Taliban gunman.  Malala anonymously blogged to BCC about the education of women in Swat Valley. In 2009 they banned girls to go to school, education for women was pointless. Out of love for education Malala publicly fought for education for women putting her in danger with Pakistani Taliban. On her way to school a Taliban assassin boarded the bus and shot her. After being rushed to the hospital and then flown to the U.K she managed to pull through. Her Memoir " I am Malala" came out October 7; also the U.N started a global program " I am Malala" for girls to get an education. Malala is a hero for girls across the would who have been banned from schooling. It is strong women like her that make a difference for girls around the world. She will not back down from the fight she will not sit back in fear, she is the one that will win the war.

"They thought that the bullets would silence us, but they failed," she said. "And then, out of that silence, came thousands of voices."
